About Wanda Torres, MD
Wanda Torres, MD, FACOG, is a gynecologist specializing in women’s reproductive health, obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic-assisted surgery at Suncoast Women’s Care. She brings over 20 years of experience to patients in the community of Trinity, Florida.
Dr. Torres established Suncoast Women’s Care in 2002 as a practice run by women for women. Her mission is to improve the well-being of her patients by providing gentle, high-quality obstetric and gynecologic services including prenatal care, well-woman exams, cancer screenings, family planning, vaginal atrophy treatments, and a range of urologic/gynecologic minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Torres received her medical degree from the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine in San Juan. Her affiliations include Mease Countryside Surgery Center in Clearwater, Florida, where she was formerly a specialty director, and a member of the executive medical committee. Dr. Torres also serves on the advisory board of the West Pasco Pregnancy Center in New Port Richey, Florida.
A respected educator, Dr. Torres serves as an associate faculty member in the nurse practitioner program at the University of South Florida College of Nursing in Tampa. In addition, she sits on the advisory board of the Rasmussen College School of Nursing in New Port Richey, Florida.
Dr. Torres is board-certified in her specialty by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
