Dr. Lina Tibavinsky Bernal was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia before moving to the Atlanta area in 2005. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S in Cellular Biology in 2015.
Dr. Tibavinsky Bernal received her medical training at the Medical College of Georgia where she was selected tp the Gold Humanism Honor Society for excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service. She then completed her Ob/Gyn residency training at Boston University, Boston Medical Center where she had the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population in a prestigious academic setting. During that time, she served as iaison for the Mother-Child-Health Equity Committee.
Dr. Tibavinsky Bernal speaks fluent Spanish and she is ecstatic to be back in Atlanta to serve her community. Dr. Tibavinsky Bernal is married to her husband Dillon, who is a genetic counselor in the Cancer Genetics Program at Northside Hospital. Together they have a son, who they welcomed in August 2022. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling.
