About Aaron Sudbury, MD, FACOG
Dr. Aaron Sudbury is a Urogynecologist well known for his vision and dedication to improving the delivery of women’s healthcare. As the Medical Director of Florida Woman Care, Dr. Sudbury collaborates with local and national health organizations to expand healthcare coverage, reduce the burden of healthcare costs for patients, improve quality of patient care and promote equal access to care for all women.
Dr. Sudbury earned his medical degree from the University of Miami, where he was honored with the Jeffrey J. Goldberg Memorial Award for Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Temple University Campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award in 2002. Dr. Sudbury achieved Board recognition in Urogynecology in 2007 from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society.
In 2004, he began private practice in Bradenton, Florida. In 2011, he joined Florida Woman Care and began serving on their Board of Governors. In 2022, he welcomed the physicians, advanced practitioners, and staff from West Coast OB/GYN to create an exceptional experience for patients in need of obstetrical, gynecological or urogynecological care under their new name, West Coast Women’s Specialists.
Dr. Sudbury is an avid leader in the medical community. He was the longest serving Chief-of-Staff at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center where he also served on the Board of Governors. He holds several longstanding positions within the Florida Medical Association and is a former President of the Manatee County Medical Society. Additionally, he holds critical roles within the organization’s Compliance Program, Quality and Performance Improvement Program, Risk Program, Clinical Content Committee, and several other national leadership roles.
