About Alberto Sirven, MD, FACOG
Alberto Sirven, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified women’s health practitioner at West Kendall OBGYN who has been serving the women of Kendall and West Kendall in Miami and Doral, Florida, for over 10 years.
Born in Cuba, Dr. Sirven completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center, a public teaching hospital affiliated with the Health Sciences Center of the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He then went on to become certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was also nominated as a fellow to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG).
Over a decade ago, Dr. Sirven partnered with a long-time friend from his residency days at Nassau University Medical Center, Dr. Julio E. Arronte, and together they founded West Kendall OBGYN. Under their leadership, West Kendall OBGYN became the first practice in Miami Dade county to obtain the SCOPE certification, a comprehensive safety review program that ACOG offers.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Sirven is trained in minimally invasive surgery and urogynecology procedures and obtained a COMEIG certificate. Dr. Sirven always has been an advocate of education, teaching the family practice residents at the West Kendall residency program. He is also is a volunteer clinical professor at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine as part of his responsibility of giving back to the community. He serves on the FIU Medical School Dean Advisory Committee, Chairman of Women and Children at West Kendall Baptist Hospital and is a member of the clinical governance board at Unified Physician Management.
