David A. Marcantel, MD, FACOG, son of DJ and Rebecca Marcantel and brother to five sisters, was born and raised in Louisiana, Texas, and the Panama Canal Zone. He received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a founding family of the town of Celebration, Dr. Marcantel opened Celebration Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1998 on the founding principles of providing exceptional service to women’s healthcare.
Dr. Marcantel has served in many leadership roles, including Section Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Director of Clinical Services at Advent Health Celebration.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Marcantel enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He actively serves as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and enjoys art, travel, golf, and sports.
