With more than 15 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, Kathleen Shimp, MD, FACOG, sees women at every life stage. She practices in all areas of women’s health care, including child and adolescent care, family planning, obstetrics, and menopause. She’s dedicated to giving each patient the time she deserves and stays up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, such as MonaLisa Touch® for vaginal atrophy and gentle C-sections that offer patients a more natural delivery experience.
Dr. Shimp helps patients suffering from infertility, endometriosis, heavy periods, menopausal symptoms, and more. Her compassionate bedside manner makes patients feel comfortable and right at home.
Dr. Shimp has served on ACOG’s committee for patient education and currently serves on the Medical Staff Quality Committee at HealthPark Medical Center.
In her free time, Dr. Shimp enjoys pursuing all types of outdoor activities with her husband and their two daughters. She loves to fish, snorkel, SCUBA dive, camp and hike. She loves to travel to new places, and also enjoys reading historical fiction.
