Dr. Bain was born in Anniston, AL and grew up in Atlanta, GA. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Indiana University in 1986, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, receiving her medical degree in 1990. After medical school, Dr. Bain moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where she completed a residency in OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Bain enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, SCUBA diving, and practicing her college French. Dr. Bain has a special interest in fitness and nutrition. She has identified techniques and knowledge that will help women of all ages remain healthy and fit. She reached a point of frustration in her own fitness journey, which she successfully addressed using specific dietary and exercise routines. She understands the challenge of fitting a commitment to healthy lifestyle and fitness into a hectic schedule. But she is passionate about preventive medicine and the huge benefits that develop, and she truly enjoys working with her patients to help them feel good, look good, and be their healthy best!
