Laura Puckett, MD, is a women’s health specialist at West Kendall Ob/Gyn who is dedicated to providing compassionate and excellent care to women of all ages in the communities of Doral, Kendall and West Kendall and surrounding areas.
Dr. Puckett was born in Oklahoma and raised and educated in Texas. She received her medical degree from Paul L Foster School of Medicine, Texas Tech Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas. During her education in El Paso she participated in many local medical and non-medical programs to help support the needs and people of the community. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. During her time in residency, she received nomination and was accepted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which is composed of individuals dedicated to ensuring compassionate patient centered care and support within their community. She also received an honored spot in Kudos Corner a local Detroit community hospital paper which acknowledges individuals that provide excellent patient care and communication. She also received an Excellence in Teaching Award.
Since moving to Miami and joining West Kendall Ob Gyn, she has enjoyed greatly working with the women of all ages who come to the practice seeking care and services. Her goal is to ensure her patient’s feel supported and educated in their health and healthcare choices.
