Princess M. Prendergast, N.P.-C, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at The Women’s Center, which has locations in Orlando, St. Cloud, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Ocoee, Winter Park and Celebration, Florida. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2007, she continued her education at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Prior to obtaining her MSN she worked in the obstetric department providing care to newborns, women in the postpartum period, and gyn-surgical unit at Florida Hospital for 8 years. Princess believes that her chosen profession allows her the privilege of making a difference in the lives of others providing quality evidence-based healthcare to women across the lifespan.
With her education, experience, and passion for her profession, she believes in empowering the patient through education encouraging lifestyle modifications utilizing an individual approach to optimize each patient’s health and overall quality of life. She believes in building an open and trusting relationship with her patients, providing a positive healing experience. Princess counsels and provides care to women from adolescence, family planning, obstetrics, and through their menopausal transition.
While equipped with experience in performing well women exams, contraception counseling, prenatal care, and managing minor gynecologic problems, she continues to expand upon her knowledge and skills. Princess serves as a member of National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
